The BHS Hiring Process (Infographic)
Content Writing
Skills used: copywriting

The BHS Hiring Process - from Start to Finish
Let’s Get to Know You!
When you first speak with your Barton Healthcare Staffing recruiter, our first priority is getting to know you.
You can expect to talk about your:
- Current employment, past training or work experience, career goals, personal preferences for travel and types of assignments, and more!
We’ll ask for the following:
- Your availability and preferences.
- Updated resume.
- Two references from the last 12 months.
This information stays with your recruiter until you’re ready to be presented to hiring managers for their open roles.
Reviewing Your Resume
As soon as we receive your resume, your recruiter will review it with you. This helps ensure that we understand your exact availability and qualifications, and enables us to best present you to our clients.
We’ll also send you our easy-to-complete skills checklist for completion.
Finding Open Positions
Next, we go to work finding positions that may be a fit for you!
We may have a lot of suggestions up front, or we will keep you updated as positions become available. It all depends on:
- Your flexibility, interest, time frame and the market!
Discussing Options
After you review the open roles, you decide which positions to apply for. Your recruiter will never apply to an open position without your approval.
Once you have selected the job openings that interest you, we’ll discuss:
- Pay rates, availability and other important details.
Discussing your options is an ongoing conversation! We’ll keep you updated as opportunities arise, and continually check in on your preferences, availability and certifications.
Phone Interview
The client is interested! Similar to a traditional job interview, the phone interview is an important step in finding the right fit - for both you and the hiring manager.
Once the phone call is completed, your dedicated recruiter will keep you updated on any feedback received, in real time.
Offer and Acceptance
Congratulations, you got the job! The BHS team will handle all of the details to finalize your contract, including:
- Rate, hours and expectations.
Job Preparations
Next, you’ll sign the contract and start preparing for your assignment!
Need any certifications, training or state licenses before you go?
We will work with you to make sure that you have everything you need.
Orientation and First Day
Your recruiter will let you know all the details, including where to go and what to wear on day one.
Questions or concerns? We’re just a text, email or phone call away.
Time to Work
We will check in regularly, making sure everything is going smoothly.
Before you know it, it’ll be time to go. But no worries, your recruiter is already working behind the scenes to find your next great assignment!
